Please check in 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Your prompt arrival ensures a relaxing personal experience. Arriving late will cheat you of precious minutes, as your treatment will end on time so as not to delay the next guest. We advise you to make appointments well in advance of your visit to ensure availability. As a courtesy to other spa guests, we ask that you refrain from cell phone use while at the spa.

Monday through Thursday (8:30 am – 5:30 pm), and Fridays (8:30 am – 4:30 pm).

Method of Payment
All treatments and products must be paid for at the time of service. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks, cash and CareCredit.

Cancellation Policy
Should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please give us at least twenty-four (24) hours notice. Individuals that cancel in less than the required time will be requested to secure future appointments by pre-paying with a credit card.

Gratuity
Prices do not include gratuity. For a job well done gratuities may be given at your discretion.

Return Policy
Our products are carefully chosen to preserve and enhance your natural beauty. We evaluate products based on clinic medical research and previous customer satisfaction. If you are unhappy with any of our products, please return them within 10 days for a full refund.

Gift certificates are available for all services and in any denomination and may be charged by phone. Gift-wrap service is available.

What is a medical spa?

A medical spa is a facility whose medical program is run under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, according to the International Medical Spa Association. A Medical Spa is able to use higher-grade products and equipment as well as physician-administered Botox® and Fillers, therefore, showing greater results. The two fields of medical and luxury have converged and caused a veritable explosion, making this new trend the wave of the future.

Our Medical Spa is under the supervision of Dr. Philip Tallman, a Board Certified Dermatologist. Therefore, we are able to perform laser treatments for various skin conditions, use medical grade skincare products and equipment, and offer physician administered Botox® and Fillers. Treatments at this level are unavailable at any day spa or salon.

Do you have to be a patient or have a prescription to receive a treatment at Tallman Medical Spa?

You do not need to be a patient of Dr. Tallman’s, nor do you need a prescription to visit. In fact, if you have not been here before, we encourage you to come see us.

Who performs Botox® and Filler injections?

Dr. Philip Tallman, a Board Certified Dermatologist, and Dana Fink, PA-C administer Botox and Filler injections. Dr. Tallman has been performing injections for more than 18 years, and Dana has been performing injections for more than 7 years.

About Your Visit

The laser only works on dark hair (not blonde or red) and only on un-tanned skin. The laser is attracted to color and cannot detect between dark hair and dark skin which can cause hyper/hypo pigmentation. All areas of the body can be lasered for hair reduction. For best results, 6-10 treatments are recommended.

Can I receive treatments at a medical spa if I am pregnant or nursing?

Yes, you are still able to receive some spa treatments while pregnant and/or nursing. There are a few treatments that you are not able to receive which are as follows: All laser treatments, Vichy Shower Treatments, certain facial treatments, and Botox® and Fillers.

Do I need to do anything special to my skin after a laser treatment?

Yes, frequent application of sunscreen is a must. Decrease exposure to the sun, as the laser compromises your skin and increases its sensitivity to the sun.

Yes, two weeks prior to a Fraxel Laser Treatment, you must stop all use of retinoids, glycolic, and salicylic acids. It is important to avoid sun exposure, waxing treatments, abrasive scrubs, and microdermabrasion. It is also important to let the staff know if you are susceptible to cold sores so that a prescription can be given.

What is the difference between a chemical peel and microdermabrasion?

Chemical peels “chemically” remove epidermal skin cells. This procedure involves hot sensations, itching, and sometimes burning. Microdermabrasion “mechanically” removes epidermal skin cells by abrasion. Patients can relate this feeling to the feel of a cat’s tongue licking your skin. Both treatments rejuvenate dull skin.

What do I need to bring?

The spa provides you with a locker for your belongings, spa robe and sandals, as well as amenities for you to enjoy while in the waiting room.

What if I have special health considerations?

Please notify our spa reservation team when booking if you have high blood pressure, a heart condition, recent surgeries, allergies, or if you are pregnant.

Is there an age requirement?

No. However, anyone under the age of 18 is required to have a parent or guardian’s signature before receiving any service.

When should I arrive?

For enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your first treatment. This will allow you to enjoy the facilities.

What if I am running late for my appointment?

Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment. In order to accommodate our next guest your treatment will end at the scheduled time so the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be applied.

Can I use my cell phone while at the spa?

To preserve an ambiance of peace and tranquility, Tallman Medical Spa is a cell phone free environment. Kindly turn off all cell phones and electronic devices prior to entering the spa.
