What types of hair can you laser with the Gentle Lase hair reduction laser, and how many treatments will I need?
The laser only works on dark hair (not blonde or red) and only on un-tanned skin. The laser is attracted to color and cannot detect between dark hair and dark skin which can cause hyper/hypo pigmentation. All areas of the body can be lasered for hair reduction. Everybody reacts differently to all procedures. For best results, 6-10 treatments are recommended.

Can I receive treatments at a medical spa if I am pregnant or nursing?
Yes, you are still able to receive some spa treatments while pregnant and/or nursing. There are a few treatments that you are not able to receive which are as follows: All laser treatments, Vichy Shower Treatments, certain facial treatments, and Botox® and Fillers.

Do I need to do anything special to my skin after a laser treatment?

Smoother, fresher looking skin, improved tone and texture, reduction in the appearance of melasma, sun damage and hyper pigmentation, wrinkle reduction and improved appearance of acne and surgical scars.

Is there anything I need to do prior to a Fraxel laser treatment?
Yes, two weeks prior to a Fraxel Laser Treatment, you must stop all use of retinoids, glycolic and salicylic acids. What is the difference between a chemcial peel and microdermabrasion?
Chemical peels “chemically” remove epidermal skin cells. This procedure involves hot sensations, itching, and sometimes burning. Microdermabrasion “mechanically” removes epidermal skin cells by abrasion. Patients can relate this feeling to the feel of a cat’s tongue licking your skin. Both treatments rejuvenate dull skin.
